Post Covid:

During the last few years of the pandemic, we noticed that masks, isolation and the stress of uncertainty/pandemic have had serious consequences on our little students' ability to communicate, acquire vocabulary and learn strong social-emotional skills. We are very mindful to teach the building blocks of social-emotional learning these days. We always are, but these lessons are even more important these days. We do not require masks or distancing for our little students or parents. You or your little one are welcome to wear masks if that is the rule in your household.

Covid Reality:

  • School will be outside for as long as possible. We will be inside only during heavy rain, with the windows open. The school has three medical grade air filters.
  • We are only enrolling small groups in both our morning and afternoon classes.
  • The schedule, at least for the beginning of the school year, is: 9-noon for the morning class and 1-4pm for the afternoon class. We will assess adding lunch as the information about the pandemic is updated.
  • We will wash hands and use hand sanitizer, and clean the tables, chairs, and toys.
  • Please bring a snack and a water bottle for your child. Please put on sun lotion and a sun hat, especially on sunnier days.
  • If your child is not yet fully potty trained, please allow her/him to come in pull ups until we have more information about the virus to try to minimize closeness. I appreciate you understanding that this is temporary until we know a bit more.

Covid Policy

  • Please allow your child to attend only if she/he is completely healthy. The children need to socialize to grow up emotionally healthy, especially after the long quarantine, and we can create a safe environment only if we all work together and look after each other. I will keep you informed if I notice anything health-wise while your child is at school.
  • Please take your child's temperature at home before coming to school and do a check of the COVID symptoms. Please bring your child to school only if she does not have a fever. The teachers can also take temperatures with an infrared forehead thermometer: if we notice your child is not well at the arrival to school or during school, even the tiniest bit, we'll take her temperature gently and delicately, and have the child rest until you get to school. I want us to be mindful of not adding more stress and anxiety on top of what the children already feel.
  • Parents, please wear masks and be mindful of six feet space during drop off and pick up. Teachers and students will wear masks too.
  • We will wash hands and use sanitizer as much as possible.
  • Students cannot come to school if their family members have either COVID-like symptoms or a known exposure to someone that has COVID.
  • According to the CDC, people with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported – ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:
  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea
